Route Changes

bakerbus changes from Monday 06 September 2010

Bus service improvements are on the way with more buses and route extensions to some of our most popular services.  (Please visit the Bus Timetable section for detailed information).

Nines (Biddulph – Hanley) Even more journeys during Monday to Friday peak periods, with three buses extended to and from Stoke Railway Station via College Road and Station Road, serving Stoke –on-Trent College, Staffordshire University and the new Sixth Form College. Almost all Nines journeys are now operated with bigger, low floor, easy access buses with more seats and much more room inside to comfortably accommodate the growing popularity of our this service.

X38 (Biddulph – Congleton – Sandbach – Crewe) Since we launched X38 last year, more and more people are using this service, so there will be extra journeys during Monday to Friday peak periods and Saturday afternoons. X38 offers options for journeys for work or shopping in Sandbach and Crewe, especially the famous Sandbach Market, held each Thursday and Saturday.

99/99A/99B (Biddulph – Congleton – Macclesfield) There are some extra journeys between Congleton and Biddulph, but most bus times are unchanged and we hope to continue to introduce more easy access, low floor buses on this service. There are good connections in Biddulph with our Nines service to/from Hanley, to/from Tunstall, Wolstanton and Newcastle (services 94/94A), and to/from Leek (services 423/424).

33/33A (Westlands – Newcastle) There will be a slightly different route pattern and a similar timetable for most people, following consultation with 33/33A customers and your own dedicated bus drivers. Guernsey Drive will be served every thirty minutes. New timetable leaflets will be distributed door to door to all households along the route in good time for the change. A full route description and map are included in this leaflet.

The X1 (Haney – Stoke - Stone – Beaconside) There are no significant changes to the timetable but new dates of operation for The X1 express have been confirmed by Staffordshire University for 2010/2011 and are included in a new timetable.

BUS FARES – services 350 and The X1 From the same date, fares between Hanley,

Stone and Beaconside will be increased ; most adult and child single fares by 10p ;  day return fares by 20p ; some Ten Trip Tickets will also be increased.

Roadworks

Poynton and Stockport may cause delays to services 372, 391, 392 and 393 from 5 August until October.
